Session proposals

From April 10 to May 31, 2026, the call for proposals for special sessions o be held during the 2026 Annual Meeting of the Unión Geofísica Mexicana will be open.

Each session must have a minimum of two and a maximum of four organizers. The person responsible for the session must be an active member of the UGM. For a session to be approved, it must have at least eight participants.

It is not guaranteed that the session will be held in an oral format, nor that all oral presentations requested by participants will be assigned. Each session may include a maximum of four invited talks, a category to be defined by the organizers based on the work to be presented and the objectives of the session.

The UGM will not provide any financial support. All organizers must pay their registration for RAUGM 2026, as well as all other attendees.

If there are proposals with similar topics, the organizing committee will contact the responsible parties before publication in order to reach an agreement that is most convenient for all parties.

Course proposals

From April 10 to May 31, 2026, the call for course proposals to be held during the 2026 Annual Meeting of the Unión Geofísica Mexicana will be open.

The course proposer must be an active member of the UGM. Courses must be held in a single day during the RAUGM week (Monday to Friday), with a maximum duration of six hours (four in the morning session and two in the afternoon session). For a course to take place, a minimum of five registered participants is required. The day and schedule of the course will be defined according to the general program of RAUGM 2026.

The UGM will not provide financial support for course attendees. One instructor per course will be granted free registration to RAUGM 2026, provided that a minimum of five participants are registered before October 1. If ten participants are registered before that date, two instructors will be granted free registration. If instructors present papers at RAUGM 2026, they must cover the cost of their abstracts.
